Black rhino
Rhino Ark was established in 1988 to help save Kenya’s black rhino population in the Aberdare ecosystem, under threat from poaching and conflict along the park boundary.
Critically endangered
Mountain bongo
A mountain-forest antelope endemic to Kenya. Remaining animals are found across four ecosystems, with recovery work focused on Mount Kenya and Mau Eburu.
