Landscape governance & partnerships

Rhino Ark’s published approach is “humans in harmony with habitat and wildlife”, carried through partnerships. That includes engaging forest-edge communities in ecosystem management through public–private partnerships, mobilising local and international stakeholders, and safeguarding against illegal exploitation.

The Mau Eburu electric fence has been cited by government voices as an example of what those partnerships can deliver. Governance here means how fences, education, livelihoods and research stay owned by institutions and communities.
